For Cruinniú na nÓg on June 12th, artists from Brown Bag Films animation studio will facilitate FREE online Character Creation Workshops, for ages 5-8 years/ 9-12 years and 13-15years. In the workshops, artists will show how to create characters and explain the work of an animator. The workshops are being produced in collaboration with Grasshopper Events with the support of Dublin City Council Arts Office and Creative Ireland.

Create a Character:
In advance of the workshops we’re inviting children and young people to create their own character. We’d love to see the most imaginative character creations possible. The character can be based on a person, an animal, a sea creature, an insect, or a totally invented creation!
Submissions Open To:
Children aged 5-8 years/ 8-12 years and 12-15 years, living in Dublin or attending school in Dublin
Submissions Selection:
Three submissions from each of the age categories listed above will be selected and will be featured in the Character Creation Workshops for Cruinniú na nÓg on June 12th. The selected entrants will each receive a printed, board mounted copy of their character drawing and a selection of art materials.
