Shoebox Appeal

We were delighted to welcome Sandra from The Shoebox Appeal back to visit our school during the week. The Shoebox Appeal is an Irish Charity that was set-up to provide a Christmas present to young children who otherwise wouldn't receive any present at Christmas time.   

Filling your 'Shoebox' is really easy - you basically need to put 4 items(in good or new condition) into a wrapped shoebox along with €4 for postal and packaging.  

The 4 items need to be something that you can;

1. WRITE -Something to write with (e.g pens, pencils, colouring pencils, copybook, paper etc)
2. WASH - Something to wash with (e.g. toothbrush toothpaste, facecloth, comb, soap, hairbrush etc )
3. WEAR - Something to wear (e.g. hat, gloves, scarf, underwear, socks, flip flops etc)
4. WOW ! - Something to go ‘wow’ at ! (e.g.sunglasses, sweets, make-up, yo-yo, ball, toys, doll, stickers etc )

Information leaflets have been given to the children to bring home.

The deadline for sending off the shoeboxes is Wednesday 9th November 2022.

It is a wonderful cause and a lovely way to make a difference to child's life at Christmas time.
