National Gallery Visit

30th Sep 2025

We went on a class trip alongside the other 5th class to the National Art Gallery to see what they have on display by Irish Artists. We did some research before hand and learnt all about Jack B Yeats and his work, most famously his painting of the Liffey Swim, which we found out he won a Silver Olympic Medal for in 1924! We were also inspired by the Tails from the Archive display, especially the water colour piece on reptiles. We held our own artist competition the day before the trip to create own made up ancient Irish animals. See some of the creations below!
