Ethos

Inchicore N.S. is a Roman Catholic School under the patronage of the Roman Catholic Archbishop of Dublin situated on Sarsfield Road and serving the parish of Inchicore and surrounding communities.

Our school aims to provide a happy, secure, friendly learning environment, where children, parents, teachers, ancillary staff and the Board of Management work in partnership, where each individual is valued, encouraged and respected for their uniqueness and facilitated to reach their full potential in a positive and supportive atmosphere.

Our well qualified, enthusiastic teaching staff ensure that pupils are well supported in their learning and personal development.

The school is co-educational and caters for children from the age of 4. The primary school curriculum is delivered over 8 years.

The school is situated in the historic area of Inchicore close to the Memorial Park, Kilmainham Jail, the Irish Museum of Modern Art (IMMA) and the Royal Hospital.

School History

The history of our school is very much linked with the history of the locality and particularly with that of the Inchicore Railway. The establishment of the school was a direct response to the needs of the area at the time. It was built on the site of what was the Cow and Calf Inn. Let’s journey back a little in time!
